Fascial Stretch Therapy & Dry Cupping
A Recovered Body is a Happy Body
What is Fascial Stretch Therapy? It is a manual therapy modality that focuses on a specific technique of combined assisted stretching and breathwork to release muscle tension and joint restriction. Clients who experience FST report feeling “looser and lighter” with less pain, after their sessions.
What is Dry Cupping? It is a therapeutic tool that may help to release fascial restrictions, improving your mobility as a result. The down side is that the cups leave dark red circles that may disappear in 3 to 7 days, but can last for up to 3 weeks. The combination of Fascial Stretch with Dry Cupping typical yields great results and is an available option to most clients.
Why is it important? Well, if you care about being able to sit on the toilet without assistance when you are older or would like to be able to play with your grandkids, then joint health needs to be a priority. Unlike replacing a tooth or a shirt that’s been ruined, your replacing your spine or pelvis is not an easy fix. It is about investing today in how you want your body to feel tomorrow.
Your initial session will always include a thorough postural assessment to identify areas of concern, postural compensations, muscular patterning. Every client is treated on an individual basis in order to provide safe and effective care.
How many times have you told yourself that you should start going to yoga? What if someone did it FOR you? Relax, recover, and treat your body to the TLC it’s been asking for. You deserve it.
I recommend 2 to 4 sessions within the first 2 weeks to effectively release muscle tension that has been built up over the years. Subsequently, a frequency of once or twice a month is suggested for maintenance, but more frequently if you are involved in moderate to intense activity multiple times per week. Please note that I do not offer massage therapy services.
